I created my race and added traits and I want to add Charm Person to one of the traits. So under the trait that it is associated with I choose "Add spell". Do I just have to choose "Charm Person" and save or fill out all or some of the fields that are there?

Glad you figured it out. Most of those fields are extra for setting or changing something about the spell.

Make sure you fill in spellcasting ability.
