When i try too create a Homebrew spell i cant get it too scale, i tried several options and juat coudnt manage it too work.
When i Copy a existing spell that should already be scaling, it doesnt scale anymore.
That i cant create a spell that scales would be something where i would accept that i dont get how it has too work, but considering that i copied a original spell and it dosn't scale anymore as soon as they are in the homebrew section, leads me too believe it is a bug and not my fault.
The issue would be the "Fixed Value" added to each of these attacks. The scaling effect isn't built to work with that part of the modifier. By removing the Fixed Value field, the spell scales properly.
The homebrew tools are built to support the content provided by the official sourcebooks and adventures, so there are millions of ideas that we creators can come up with that we will not be able to faithfully reproduce using the current tools, which are loaded with effects that occur in the official content.
As a potential work around, you could consider making multiple versions of your cantrip, and swapping out to it as you reach the different levels for the change in dice and fixed damage, or just have the additional damage (beyond the dice) notated in the description for the user to remember to add when they cast the spell.
But i have too admit that even tho i consider myself quite good at english, i would probably have understood most better, if the translations that where once promised would be available.
I mean the books exist in most languages so i dont see a reason why atleast some languages like Spanish, france, german arent already in there.
But it is a whole othere matter so i wont expect an answear.

Not like my terrible english, that is my fault.
Hi Narrenlord,
Please post a link to the homebrew you're trying to create. Moderators can see linked unpublished homebrew.

Hope that helps shed some light!
