Hi, I made a Subclass for the warlock from scratch but the site will not allow me to upload it because it says it's too similar to the "Circle of Spores", it "has data mapped to it that is licensed content or private homebrew. This typically occurs when licensed or private homebrew spells are linked to the Subclass", and, "This homebrew Subclass does not have the necessary class features with the correct required levels." and I've checked and it meets all of those things. Any help to why I can't upload it?
The "too similar to circle of spores" message is actually a bug that happens when the subclass does not have a description.
Any spell (item, creature, etc) added to the homebrew that is not paet of the basic rules is licensed content.
This thread has a list of what levels subclasses need to have features (for warlock it is 1, 6, 10, and 14). The message will appear if any are missing or if there is any extra.
And always make sure to manually click save to retrigger the check. If you still have any problems, post a link to the homebrew for a mod to check it. And remember it does not have to be published for you and players in your campaigns to use it.
