If you pick Multiclass Gunslinger / Kensei or take Firearm Proficiency as a Kensei monk, you are unable to pick certain firearms (Palm Pistol for example) as your ranged Kensai weapon. Is this intended or a bug? From what I understand RAW the Palm Pistol should work as a Kensai weapon as it is a "simple or martial weapon that lacks the heavy and special properties".
I think I lenient DM would allow it. After all it is playtest material. He could try limiting it by restricting ki point usage or halfving the damage on monk abilities that can be added on to firearms. Also removing magical damage from firearms is a good start too to balance against the more unique enemies seen later on

Looks like the [Tooltip Not Found] is a Firearms Ranged Weapon, NOT a simple or martial ranged weapon. This appears true for all firearms.
Ah, that explains it. Damn, there goes my gun-kata monk build :P.
