Your speed increases by 10 ft. while you aren't wearing heavy armor.
At level 5 the character sheet increases your movement speed from 30 to 40 to account for this. But out of curiosity I equipped some heavy armor on the character sheet on a test character to see if it would accordingly reduce my movement speed back down to 30. It doesn't. It still says 40. I know the armor is equipped because the AC changes appropriately and is accounted for in the AC side panel description.
Update 1: Okay, not only specific to the barbarian, but wearing heavy armor without meeting the prerequisite strength level doesn't cause the movement speed value to reduce, either. A barbarian wearing certain heavy armour without meeting the 13 or 15 strength requirement should have their speed reduced from 30 to 20, but the sheet still displays 40.
I would assume this applies to every class, and that the character sheets simply do not have the same attention to detail with speed as they do with AC and other stuff.
Update 2: This problem applies to flying speed too. Seems the speed aspect of the character sheet is unfinished in general; unlike when you click on, say, AC, it doesn't give a detailed breakdown as to the sources of all modifiers. It just gives you some 'assumed' values, like it's assuming you aren't going against your class' intended playstyle - let's just assume no barbarian in their right mind would wear plate, right? Except that's not the nature of D&D -- a player might well do exactly that -- and when they look at their character sheet they get a misleading idea of what their speed is.
It would be nice to get a reply please. I'm trying to help you guys make the online character sheet be an excellent replacement for pen and paper that saves players the taxing and laborious aspects, and hopefully also helps them avoid overlooking details which affect their game. Your entire movement speed element of the character sheet is flat out ignoring negative modifiers applied by specific rulings or feature criteria not being met. There could be situations where players play falsely because they trust too much in your sheets accounting for things like this - after all, isn't time saving and convenience the point of a digital sheet in the first place?
Intentional necro because If Stormknight is telling me the truth then why on this sacred earth has nothing been done about this in an entire YEAR? Getting mighty tired of the developers here not caring about their product...
