I have access to sourcebooks such as the new Eberron book and Volo's Guide to Monsters through content sharing in one of the campaigns I am in.
Currently I am able to view the compendium content and everything else relating to what's shared with me but I am unable to use any of these options during character creation.
I checked the status of the content sharing on the campaign page and I still have access to everything.
I would like to access the shared content in character creation. Is this a bug?
If I'm not mistaken, you need to have a character in the campaign, then edit that character to take part in the content sharing. You cannot create a character outside of the campaign with content shared with you.
That seems reasonable. I already have a character in the campaign in question so I'm outta luck with regards to making new characters then. This also explains why I was allowed to make my lizardfolk fighter for that campaign.
