Necroing this because I'm encountering a similar bug, thanks to a spell that's in the PH but not in the Basic Rules, circle of power. Only there's also another spell, pass without trace, that isn't triggering the bug, even though it's not in the Basic Rules either—but D&D Beyond says it is! 🤔
Anyway, am I understanding correctly that a subclass—e.g., a paladin oath—that grants access to spells that aren't in the Basic Rules is by definition unsharable?
The D&D Beyond Basic Rules includes the full Basic Rules and the 5th Edition SRD, which Pass Without Trace is a part of. This allows it to be a part of the free content.
You are correct in your understanding. Any subclass or other piece of homebrew that includes non free content (Basic Rules, SRD, Elemental Evil, Critical Role) will not be able to be published for public use on D&D Beyond. Your private homebrew is freely shared in your private campaigns however.
I hope that helps!
