I have the telepathic feat selected but it isn't giving me message as a cantrip. Telekinetic seems to be working fine though.

That feat does not grant the Message spell, rather it gives you telepathy. You should find that appearing in your Languages.
Not sure where you were getting your information. Telepathic UA doesn't mention message.
