Hi I want to have a wizard subclass that allow for the wizard to behave somewhat like a sorcerer and cast spells spontaneously instead of requiring preparation. Now, obviously I can just put it in the description and resolve it on the fly. But I was wondering, is there a way to make the DNDBEYOND system to support this? Is this editable /override-able , or is it "set in stone" that a wizard always requires spell preperations and that's it?
You could sort of simulate this by not putting more spells in the spellbook than the Wizard is able to prepare. That way the Wizard would be able to cast every spell they know and only those limited spells, just like a sorcerer.
I should note, this will be a major nerf for wizards, but ironically, they would still have more spells than non-prepare casters.

Hello shanytopper2! There is not currently a method to overwrite class features in D&D Beyond.
Damn. Ok, thanks.
