I'm currently reworking a Circle of Spores subclass into a new subclass (Circle of Growth) and am trying to add a limited use feature. I added a general action and left everything blank but the description and set the reset type to "long rest." Then I used the limited use mechanic to go according the the WIS modifier.
When I open my character sheet, I'm not getting any check boxes. I have two characters created with this subclass and have refreshed multiple times. The class trait appears as a Reaction rather than a limited use action on both characters even though I don't have the activation type set.
How do I fix this so the trait shows up with check boxes equal to my Wisdom modifier?
Always be sure that you click the Save Changes button on the main Edit page for your homebrew, otherwise the subclass won't be updated.
It can take up to 20 minutes or so for new changes to an existing homebrew to "propagate" through.
...With that out of the way, go to the character builder and try bumping your character's class up 1 level and then back down. That's the most reliable way to "refresh" a character's features.
