I'm designing a race (G'Haiana) and, in a first attempt I created two sub-races for it. Now, based on feedback on the forum I was advised to use Variants instead. So I deleted the sub-races, but the main race still contained references to it. These references always give an error when I try to delete them (Probably I should have deleted the references first, before deleting the sub-race itself, but too late for that now).
Is it possible to fix this, without having to delete the G'Haiana entry?
If it is published, you will have to create new version and turn "has subraces" off. You can't delete published homebrew, it says so in the site guidelines.

Nope, it's not published, I'm still building it ... the problem is exactly what I described.

I decided to start from scratch, delete the old version of the race and rebuild it ... so problem is "solved" in a way.
