Can you provide more details on where you're experiencing this issue (in which text fields), and exact steps to reproduce? Also, do you have any extensions that may be interfering, such as Beyond20, AboveVTT, ad-blockers, VPNs, etc.?

No addons of any king that are relevant.
To replicate an example, do the following: 1. Create a new variant human. 2. After the first save, edit the description field with a new description. 3. Without saving, go down to the list of traits and press to add any new trait. 4. You'll be taken to the new trait page. Add the trait. 5. When you return to the main page of the variant human edit, the text change in the description field is not saved, and all the changes are lost.
The easiest way to fix this is to make sure that pressing any of the add buttons will first save the current page before sending the user to the add trait pages.
If I make a change to a text field, then make another change before changing, the entire page will reload and the text I edited will be lost.
This behavior requires immediate fixing. It's the most annoying of bugs.

That's what the "Leave Page / Stay On Page" confirmation box is for. Does that confirmation box not show up for you?
Helpful rewriter of Japanese->English translation and delver into software codebases (she/e/they)
Nope.
that box is not a good solution. It is often blocked by browsers and add-ons that prevent popups.
the solution should be to automatically save changes.
