Hey guys, so here is the story: I got into dnd about a year ago, and my dad bought the legendary bundle and Hero status so that we could all access the content. I have no trouble looking at the books and stuff, but after I use something I got from the bundle once or twice, I cannot find it in the character builder. it is a pain in the butt, because my latest character does not have access to half of the ranger spells, the dual wielder feat, and many other things, and have to homebrew a copy of it to use it, but it is still annoying, because the duplicates show up in my other character sheets, and are a real eyesore. And I still do not have access to the latest books. Additionally, when I homebrew something, publish it, and then attempt to edit it again, when I finish and look at my homebrew creations, it is all one thing, but when I look in the character sheet, there are duplicates for each old version, and it is really confusing. Can I please get some help? I am sick and tired of this, and cannot stand it anymore. Is anyone else experiencing this issue? How do I fix it?
If your father only has a Hero tier subscription, then that's your issue. Only Master tier subscribers can share content. Now you say you've had access to this content in the past, but it doesn't work sometimes? That's odd so my first guess is that you're creating new characters outside the campaign where content is being shared.
Assuming your dad does have the Master tier sub, and has a campaign he's sharing his content in that you're a part of, then what you need to do is create your characters inside that campaign by joining via the link found in the "My Campaigns" section. Content sharing only shares content with characters inside the campaign the content is being shared in.
If you're already doing all that, then I'd recommend asking your dad to turn content sharing off and then back on to see if that fixes it. Sometimes it gets a little funky and you need to reset it.
thank you so much, I did not know that. you are right, I am creating characters outside of the original campaign. I will try this and see if it works, I hope it does!

You should see a button underneath the name of your campaign to turn content sharing on or off.
