Hi, everyone! I am interested in trying to upload my homebrew Monk subclass for people to see and comment on, but it will not allow me to make it public. I get the following notice:
This Subclass cannot be shared with the community for the following reasons:
This homebrew Subclass has data mapped to it that is licensed content or private homebrew. This typically occurs when licensed or private homebrew spells are linked to the Subclass.
Long story short, it is called Way of the Divine. I took the Way of the Four Elements subclass (because I wanted to use the Elemental Discipline style mechanic for my "Divine Gifts") and changed things to get it the way I wanted it. As far as I can tell, the only things linked to it are spells. For instance, Here is an example of one of my Divine Gifts:
Bestower of Blessings
You have the power to bestow the blessings of your deity upon your allies. You can spend 1 ki point to cast bless.
I wondered if having the Bless spell linked to it was the reason it wouldn't work, but I have seen other public homebrews with spells linked in this manner. Does anyone know if I am missing something, or something that I could double check? Maybe I need to recreate the the Subclass from scratch instead of starting with a template to fix it? Any help someone could give would be awesome!
I strongly suggest not publishing the subclass right away, since you can't change or delete it once it's published. Post about it in the Homebrew Forum if you'd like to get feedback, and make sure you're actually happy with how it plays first.

Are any of the spells *not* found in the basic rules?

Ahhhh, I hadn't thought about that. That's entirely possible. I didn't check to see where they all came from.
Yeah, the licensed bit is where you will run into it, anything not from the basic rules falls under that and isn't allowed in published homebrew.

Thanks for the heads up! This is my first real foray into Homebrewing!
