When I made a dwarf cleric with the background clan crafter the language didn't allow a drop down menu. So my character knows dwarvish from his race and background. Is this on purpose?
I ran into the same issue. I checked the PHB, and it does not say you can swap background languages if you already know them.
I made a custom background that with clan crafter feature instead.
