My search-fu is weak. I am sure this has come up before, but I cannot find a question or answer.
I am working on creating a custom item, it has a +1 bonus to spell attacks, and a +1 bonus to spell dc. This works correctly, and shows the bonus to attack and spell dc. As long as the spell is not a cantrip (or eldrich blast for warlocks).
I tried this with a default item (Robes of the Archmagi) and the spells that are not cantrips (or eldrich blast) get the bonuses, cantrips do not.
Am I missing something? Or is this an issue, and I just need to make sure the customization is used for a spell that should be affected by the item.
Possible reason of the issue:warlock pact of the tome. The spells that have an issue seem to be the spells gotten with the pact of the time. So they are not from the “spell book”

Thanks in advance
It's working on my character sheets without any issues... can you link your character sheet so I can see what's going on?

made the sheet public and added, equipped, attuned the robe of the arch age since it is a “standard” item with the appropriate bonuses.
thanks
