I’m trying to put a few homebrew subclasses I’ve made onto the public homebrew forum, but it says I have licensed content attached to them. All of the spells they know are from the player’s handbook, and it doesn’t say what content it is specifically copying. Can anyone help?
Fairly sure you can only publish homebrew using free spells from the basic rules. The PHB is paid-for content and therefore licensed - so you can't use them (if you wish to publish them that is).

This is correct - though nothing prevents you from sharing it via content sharing in a campaign.
i'm having the same problem with subclasses....i have 2 subclasses that are nearly identical, but one is for a druid and one is for a cleric. I can share the druid, but not the cleric. i've checked/compared half a dozen times. all the spells/text are the same and I had copied/pasted pretty much everything from the druid to the cleric.

Can you link that subclass here? You don't need to publish it for a moderator (such as myself) to be able to view it.
I think I found the problem. Certain spells such as searing smite aren’t found in the basic rules but in the player’s handbook. Thanks for the help Emmber
