My level 3 Paladin is counting Oath of Ancient Spells towards the prepared spells, only allowing me to prepare 3 instead of 5 (+4 charisma) despite buying several spells from D&D Beyond.
Thank you, that makes sense. This is my first character/time playing and despite my research I miss a lot with all the information. I'll have to be a lot choosier when selecting spells. Thanks for the help!

You prepare spalls with Charisma modifier + half your paladin level, rounded down
Your Paladin is Level 3 and has 15 CHA, this is 3/2 level = 1+ CHA mod (.+2) = 3 spells prepared.
This is correct.
I think you confused your CHA save which has proficiency (total +4) with you CHA modifier.
