I have the 2024 PHB but still struggling to access this subclass's traits! At level 3 it prompts me to choose a subclass, I choose arcane trickster, but then it does not prompt me to select any cantrips/spells. I tried to manually enter them under Spells on the main character sheet but it's only letting me choose two cantrips instead of three, so that's not a workaround. This needs to be fixed in the character creation app ASAP. Btw I tried on both Android and PC. Level 3 spellcasting shows up as a section, but nowhere does it allow you to choose these spells.
Spells are added on a separate "Spells" subtab under the Class tab in the character builder (next to "Class Features"). Are you not seeing that tab? Can you post a screenshot of what yours looks like?
Arcane Tricksters do start with three cantrips, but one of them is always Mage Hand, so you only get to actually choose two of them.
