I know there are a few reports about missing errata on D&D Beyond, but I didn't see a megathread about it, so I don't know if you want reports on whats missing or not. Figured I would pass this along anyways as my group ran into this today. The section on Spell Scrolls in D&D Beyond states:
A spell scroll bears the words of a single spell, written in a mystical cipher. If the spell is on your class’s spell list, you can use an action to read the scroll and cast its spell without having to provide any of the spell’s components. Otherwise, the scroll is unintelligible.
However there is errata here stating that the second sentence was changed, so it should currently read:
A spell scroll bears the words of a single spell, written in a mystical cipher. If the spell is on your class’s spell list, you can read the scroll and cast its spell without providing any material components. Otherwise, the scroll is unintelligible. Casting the spell by reading the scroll requires the spell’s normal casting time. Once the spell is cast, the words on the scroll fade, and it crumbles to dust. If the casting is interrupted, the scroll is not lost.
Just wanted to let people know. Great work on D&D Beyond so far, can't wait to see how it continues to grow!
yeah i think most errata aren't included in the DDB work and i think its something important that should have been done when they started making DDB since some of them are old errata and they have been around before DDB come to life. I just wonder why they didnt included them whey they created all the content ....
I don't know how they organise themselves but I would hope that there would be one person whose dedicated job is to include errata, fix typos, fix and create links and anchors, etc. It seems like it would be a full time job given how much feedback is being given on these errors, issues and absences.
