Cleric are proficient in the mace. Mine has a +2 STR modifier and is level one with proficiency of +2. Should be 2+2=4 right? However it only shows an attack bonus of 2.

That character has a +0 STR mod. They have +2 to DEX, reflected in the +4 for the bow.
