I'm trying to create a subclass which, at level 3, an option is chosen. I had assumed that since the level scaling had been set in the feature, it would propagate throughout the feature including options. In the option actions, the {{scalevalue}} snippet code works, but shows the error of "scalevalue - No level scale data available" in the Features and Traits section of the Character sheet, which is from the base description of the Option Page. Is this on purpose, am I doing something incorrectly, or is this unforeseen?
Yes, the {{scalevalue}} snippet will pull only from the feature it is contained by, so it is not going to be able to be tied to your option.
Based on how you have these options set up, I may recommend making two subclasses for this class, similar to how the Circle of the Land Druid has a separate subclass for each type of land on D&D Beyond. It may help you organize the complexities that you have presented here, and allow you to use that {{scalevalue}} effect that you're looking to use in the snippets.
Noted. That’s what I ended up doing. I just thought there was a more elegant way to get it worked out since I can’t make a COPY_OF_ version to go from...I’m lazy that way. ;)
So, I just saw that {{scalevalue}} snippet code works in options now...except for the root option code. I have the level scaling configured in the class feature, and the {{scalevalue}} works in the actions within the options, but not in the base option. Is this an oversight, or is there a database/coding difficulty in this implementation? Description: Monk subclass - Way of Reiki
Issue perceived location: The Reiki Path, level 6 option - Necrotic Ki strike, level 11 option - Ki Smite

Hello Imaginelane, please provide a link to your unpublished homebrew for the most accurate assistance. Thank you!
Sorry, forgot to include that. https://www.dndbeyond.com/classes/monk/subclass/361767/edit
