Just as a FYI, I added a chariot to a character's equipment and it added the chariot's 100 pounds of weight to encumbrance. Reminds me of the old 1st edition rule that rangers could only own what they could carry.
Thanks for the tip. I set it to 0, but it looks like everything in the Tack, Harness, and Drawn Vehicles list is adding its weight to the character sheet. I added a carriage to my mage and he was over encumbrance by 600 pounds. The sheet did kindly warn me of this, though.

D&D Beyond StaffAccording to the Basic Rules/Player's Handbook, chariots have a weight of 100 lbs.
Agreed the weight is correct, but barring extraordinary circumstances, you're not carrying the chariot around with you.
Right now, best thing to do is to customize the weight and drop it to zero. The sheet currently just calculates it as an item you're lugging around.
Or... wait, maybe the chariot can be added to the Vehicles spot in the Extras area of the sheet?
Nope. Just checked. It's not considered a 'vehicle' for that purpose. Drat.
I put stuff like that in the Other Possessions notepad. If my character isn't carrying it - then it doesn't go in the inventory.
