Hi there,

I was unable to find anybody reporting this issue so I apologise if I'm not the first. My friend has sent me a link to join their campaign, and I am trying to join it using a newly created character. I am able to select the character and click "Join with this character", but after a short pause I get an error that says:

There was a problem joining the campaign with that character.

With no further information provided. Does anyone know why this might be? Any help would be greatly appreciated. If it's a bug, consider it reported!

I'm sorry to hear about the troubles. Could you ask the DM to use the "Reset Invite Link" on the campaign page, and send you the new link to try again?

Hi again, 

I've figured it out and managed to get it working, so consider this a bug report now I guess:

The issue was that I had two characters with the same name, one of whom was already in a campaign. I was trying to join with the one that wasn't in a campaign already and presumably somewhere it was matching on character name only and trying to join the one who WAS in a campaign, causing the error.

I was able to fix it just by changing the name of the second character.
