No. If you want access to something published in a WotC book, that they didn't also make available for free, you'll need to make a separate purchase. Fortunately, you don't have to buy the whole book, you can buy just the one subclass or just a race.

I was going to ask the exact same question, but this is what it says in the subscription page:

So I am either missing something or this is a bug.

That just says if you have a subscription you can have unlimited characters - otherwise you can only have 6. It says nothing about unlocking content.
