I have browsed these forums before and read a bunch of posts from a few years ago as other people were having the same problem as me. however, they were severely unhelpful. I am trying to get a spell that I homebrewed to show up for my character. so far I have tried;
-making my character public/private
-turning on/off homebrew content (please for the love of god do not suggest I do this, I saw people tell other people to do it so many times when they had clearly already turned homebrew content on)
-changing the class/subclass of the spell
-reloading the browser page
-removing and re-adding the spell to my homebrew collection
please someone help me I am currently going insane and am very tired. Also I would like to apologize for my username, I made it years ago and wish I could change it.
One thing you didn't list: be sure to hit [Save Changes] in the main edit page of the spell, under Basic Information. Note that newly-saved homebrew changes can take up to 20 minutes to percolate to character sheets.
If that doesn't help:
Which spellcaster class is the character that you're trying to add the spell to?
What spellcasting class(es)/subclass(es) did you give the spell?
Are you intending for the spell to be "always prepared"? Have you only checked the character's Spells list in the character sheet, or are you using Manage Spells?
Keep in mind that there's only so much people can know about your situation from what has been described. You may want to post the link to your homebrew spell (UNPUBLISHED) so a mod/staff member can take a look, as well as the url to your character sheet so we can see if there's something unusual there.
As for your username, the top pinned post in this forum is for requesting Display Name changes, you can make a post there to ask for a change.

I did hit the save changes button and even after waiting a few hours until now the spell didn't show up. I am making the spell for artificers, as that is the class of my character. The spell is a conjuration spell and it is a cantrip. I am using the manage spells button to try and learn it however it didn't show up.
Hrmmm... perhaps make absolutely sure it's in your Homebrew Collection? I keep tripping over that myself, especially when I've Deleted a creation and then Restore it later.
Also, try clicking in the Inspiration box twice, then reloading the page; that will reload the data cache for the character.
Otherwise, I'm not able to see your character sheet since it's private, so a mod or staff member will need to take a look at that and your homebrew spell to see what's going on.
