I just subscribed to DnDBeyond and was excited by how easy it made parts of the experience.
I run several one-shots for different groups. This means I re-use content _and_ _characters_ from previous runs.
But I can't actually do this easily. To "clean the slate", I need to contact the players, have them unassign the characters, and then go through the sheet restoring the original state.
As a first step, there would be SO MUCH less communication overhead if I could unassign them myself. Please let the DM unassign characters in their campaign.

I recommend creating a master copy of all your characters. When you need to hand your characters out, make a disposable player copy of your master copy and hand the disposable player copy out. That way, the players can keep their character as a trophy or memento, you do not have to redo every character sheet, and cleaning up the campaign page is as easy as just removing every player and resetting the join link.

Are there function to copy/clone characters? I looked and didn't see them in the UI either.
On your My Characters page each character can be copied. Add the copies to the campaigns and keep the originals in your character list.
