Encounters for my Campaigns

Hello. I am a completely new DM never done this before and I am trying to get my head round how D&d beyond campaign and encounter creater works.

Question. I create my campiagn and then I create 3 encounters for the campaign. Can i add these 3 encounters to the campaign? how does it work ?
