So I've read an obnoxious amount of forum posts already for this exact thing, and I've followed them all to a literal science/tee to the point I'm exhausted.

I truly don't understand what I'm doing wrong here, and I just want these two scores at this point, I've given up on all the rest, that's how annoyed I am.

And before someone suggests it, yes I've already tried using the "other modifier" and "override score" to reset the modifiers as well, it's just permanently on there for whatever reason. I'm stumped and annoyed, I'll admit I'm low-key tilted, so mostly rage-texting at this point for something that's probably an easy fix, but, eh... I'm going to sleep now, love you all, even more so if you can tell my idiotic self how to fix this and make a Race with +2 Dex, +1 Wis. Got a few other traits but I can figure those out later at this point since I can't even get past the scores. :(

Can you share a link to the homebrew (even if it's not published) so a moderator can have a look?

Sure, I pretty much just put it down to nothing but the ability scores to rule out anything else effecting the modifiers.

It could be that you're adding a cached version of your homebrew. Just made a test character using the option and the modifiers are adding correctly
