For example Horizon Walker and Monster Slayer both gain Protection from Evil and Good but neither of the subclasses are listed on the spell "Available for:"-section
Still an issue for the Monster Slayer, at least: all the spells listed under "Monster Slayer Magic" aren't listed as additional spells for the ranger.
They do have this counter applied: "You can cast each of these spells once without expending a spell slot. Once you cast a spell in this way, you can’t do so again until you finish a long rest." Which is great, but that isn't the intent of RAW; these spells are supposed to be added to the spell list as choices, not 1/day freebies.

Are you using and old UA version of this subclass because this is not how the published one even works.
Made a character and did not get one use per long rest.
It does appear on the spellcasting page without my having taken the spell. However, in testing further, it does look like casting those spells counts off on spell slots, so I was mistaken on the counters.

They are automatically learned at certain levels. So they are added to the sheet when you reach a specific level in the class, not just added to the spell list as an option to learn.
Starting at 3rd level, you learn an additional spell when you reach certain levels in this class, as shown in the Monster Slayer Spells table. The spell counts as a ranger spell for you, but it doesn’t count against the number of ranger spells you know.

Good point.

I am using the new version. I don't have checkboxes for it, but protection, etc. doesn't appear on the spell list:
+Longstrider(1st) LEARN
+Searing Smite(1st) LEARN
Snare(1st) LEARN
