I’m a complete newbie - so apologies in advance for a dumb question. I’ve used the character builder to make the below, but not all my weapons appear in my inventory. When I look at the digital sheet it shows ‘Crossbow, Light, Dagger, Dart, Longbow, Longsword, Quarterstaff, Shortbow, Shortsword, Sling’ under ‘weapons’. But if I go into Edit, I can only see Dagger and Quarterstaff in ‘inventory’, so that’s all I can equip. What am I missing?
The section you're referring to that lists "Crossbow, Light, Dagger, Dart, Longbow, Longsword, Quarterstaff, Shortbow, Shortsword, Sling" are your weapon proficiencies (the weapons you're good at using), rather than your actual equipment. You'll have to add those items to your character via 'Manage Equipment' to be able to equip them
The weapon listing in the character sheet is the weapon with which the character is proficient, not those in the inventory. To add items to your inventory from the character sheet, you should pick the "Equipment" tab in the panel on the right and then choose manage equipment.
