The point being, that Artificers must use an arcane focus, and so, all of their spells can potentially benefit from their Enhanced Arcane Focus infusion (if it requires an attack roll), as well as from Arcane Firearm (if it deals damage).
A slight necro, but in Tasha's they've clarified this beyond any possible arguing. All artificer spells explicitly and RAW have a material component now.
You must have a spellcasting focus—specifically thieves’ tools or some kind of artisan’s tool—in hand when you cast any spell with this Spellcasting feature (meaning the spell has an “M” component when you cast it).

Yup. For myself, I just add an "F" (for "Focus") component to each and every spell an Artificer learns or prepares.
