So how does this damage scale? like if you punch since it just says simple weapon does that mean you would add your str mod? So building an Armorer Artificer wouldn't Int and Str be your primary stats because of this? Just trying to understand how one should stat an artificer to get the most out of it because since the damage doesn't scale with Int I would guess you would prioritize stats like this?
1: Int/Str 2: Con 3: Dex 4: Wis 5: Cha
Also would you think swapping the str for int mod on hit is a good idea for balance? idk since I haven't had this in any of my games before and would like some clarification since I want me and the players to all have fun and it's easier to do that when I know what I am dealing with as a DM.
"Each model includes a special weapon. When you attack with that weapon, you can use your Intelligence modifier, instead of Strength or Dexterity, for the attack and damage rolls."
Intelligence already replaces Strength for the to hit and damage modifiers for whichever model your armor is.
Thanks, he is planning on going a simic and flavoring him as someone who has a mutated gene of lycanthropy (shark) that is stunted at mid transformation with a split personality (not swapping he is always in control but he has to deal with emotions and a voice in his head that aren't his but the weresharks)
