Do these features stack or do you just go by the Demiurgic Colossus feature? Havok says reach increases by 5ft and Colossus says it increases by 10ft. Does that mean the reach increases by 15ft? The way they are worded, it sounds like they should stack. Both features are from Path of the Giant subclass.
Looking at the 2014 monster manual Giants, they all have 10' melee reach apart from the Stones who have 15'. I would say that these class features don't stack else it makes the PotG Barbarian more gianty than real giants, which seems whack. DC by itself gives a greater reach than most Giants get which is weirdness. Totally see the reason for your question.
Normally rules say that bonuses from different source stack and these are "different" features. A weapon with the reach property extends the reach by another 5', so these all should add together as RAW but that makes it seem a bit unbalanced.
Normal character = reach 5'
Barbarian with GH = reach 10' (5' + 5')
Barbarian with DC = reach 15' (5' + 10') - not stacking with GH
Barbarian with GH + DC = reach 20' (5' + 5' + 10') - stacking with GH
Stone Giants = reach 15'
Other Giants = reach 10'
I would be inclined to say 10' only as a DM. BUT - RAW says it increases by 10', RAI may mean it increases to 10', but the RAW says increases by 10', so you got a case to argue it to be 15' total.
Giant's Havoc says you grow to Large if there is room and you are smaller than that. Large stacks up with most giants with a 10' reach. I would tend to suggest that if you can't go Large you can't get the extra +5' despite the wording.
Demiurgic Collossus says your size can increase to Large or Huge. Huge stacks up better than most giants with a 15' reach. I would tend to suggest that if you can't go Huge you can't get the extra +10' despite the wording.
See, you are thinking the same thing I was. I also compared this to the huge giants in 2024 monster manual and their reach. I would agree that they probably did not intend for those to stack, but the way they worded it can cause some discussions at the table. As a DM I would rule against it stacking, but some stubborn players will argue it and have a valid argument.
Suppose you can view it like temporary hit points. If you gain temp hp and already have some they don't stack but you can choose to apply the larger of them. Same same, you have two ways to calculate reach but use the one you choose to, same as AC calculations, you can only choose one method ... consistent.
I would say it’s like the AC ruling, that you would have to choose one or the other, but can’t have both. It’s an either or decision, not an And decision which would stack. Hence like some abilities that say, if you have dark vision it’s added to your base. You choose which to add to increase from both abilities given
