So I have a question, I've been trying to make a genuinely working Centaur for some reason I really like the idea of a tap dancer Centaur but that's not the main point, I'm sorry. What I want to ask is how Dazzling Footwork actually works? Can I always use my dexterity modifier for unarmed strikes or only when I use up a bardic inspiration as a full action? I basically want to use dexterity as a modifier when my centaur has charged towards an enemy, hit it and is ready to also kick them with their hoof for some extra damage since hooves attack count as unarmed strikes?
Also I really have no idea how to ask questions on forum, so I'm sorry if I posted this the wrong way.
Dance Bards can use Dexterity for attack rolls for all Unarmed Strikes, regardless of whether they're making it at the same time as using Bardic Inspiration or not.
And yes, this includes the bonus action Unarmed Strike you can make via the Centaur's Charge feature. The hoof attacks are defined in the "Hooves" feature to be Unarmed Strikes, so anything that applies to Unarmed Strikes applies to them, including Dazzling Footwork.

Thank you!! I'm glad I didn't misunderstand!:D
No problem! I'm playing a Dance Bard in a Theros campaign and it's been a lot of fun running around and kicking enemies in the face.

I bet! I want to do the same with hooves! Right after charging into their face and hitting them with true strike lmao
