I'm making a new paladin oath for a player idea. The backstory is that the DM is making us all play villains. Long story short I'm a Hellknight that's going to summon Zariel to conquer the material plane, kill the others, so on so forth. I plan to eventually kill the god I used to serve and take his power to ascend to godhood. When I do I'm surprising the DM by converting to good and becoming a god of justice. I've gone with making a new oath called oath of honor but I ran out of ideas at 3rd level spells and tenets. Anybody got ideas for 4th-5th level spells, channel divinity, and the other stuff?
3rd Level Channel Divinity - Justice is Blind. As an Action, inflict the Blind Condition on yourself for one minute. As long as you suffer from that Condition, sources of disadvantage you suffer from become advantage, and sources of advantage enemies have when attacking you become disadvantage. If you suffered from another Blind Condition from another source, it does not affect this ability, only the Blind Condition from the initial Action.
- Honor is My Shield. As a reflexive Action, you may impose a phantom shield protecting an ally or yourself for one turn. They either gain the benefit of the Shield spell, or gain resistance against Necrotic damage.
7th Level Aura - See the Truth. Attempts to use Stealth, Deception, illusions, disguises or otherwise hidden stuff suffer disadvantage while in 10 feet of you. At level 18, the size increases to 30.
15th Level - Justice never dies. Permanent Heroism spell on you.
20th level - As an Bonus Action, you can transform into an avatar of justice. For the next minute, you may use one smite-spell (any spell with the word "smite" in its name) without consuming a spell slot. The spell will be cast at 5th level.
Does the transformation end after the smite takes effect? or do you just get to use one smite spell every round for the duration? Just want to make sure I understand where you're going with this. :)
ok thanks, i was looking at the other oath transformations, and noticed that for the most part they all have at least one offensive and one defensive feature, often with a utility as well. Do you have an idea for any more that would fit? Thank you so much for all your help.

4th level spell - Death Ward, Freedom of Movement
5th level spell - Far Step, Skill Empowerment

No, its persistent across the entire minute. I consider it consistent with damage done by transformations that deal damage equal to paladin level.

Without directly copying a different subclass (which is a perfectly acceptable thing to do, imho) I can't think of anything. Sorry.
No problem, thank you so much for everything! Helped a lot! :)
