I haven't used discord yet, someone told me to stay out of discord. I can't figure out how to change my feats.
On the character sheet under Features & Traits, click the Feats tab, then click "Manage Feats", you can add and remove any feats you like; this is where you do it if your DM lets you take additional feats. For example, my groups prefer to start our games at 3rd-level with a free feat, as it makes it a lot easier to establish a character's theme straight away, but that's for the DM to decide; some may insist on 1st-level for them thematic reasons or if they have a lot of new players.
Former D&D Beyond Customer of six years: With the axing of piecemeal purchasing, lack of meaningful development, and toxic moderation the site isn't worth paying for anymore. I remain a free user only until my groups are done migrating from DDB, and if necessary D&D, after which I'm done. There are better systems owned by better companies out there.
I have unsubscribed from all topics and will not reply to messages. My homebrew is now 100% unsupported.
Thank You. So it's 0 st 1st level unless DM allows a change...right?
That's right; the only way you normally start with a feat is if you choose variant human for your race, or I think custom lineage can take a feat as well. But yeah, for most races you start with zero feats unless your DM allows a free choice.

I haven't used discord yet, someone told me to stay out of discord. I can't figure out how to change my feats. I'm 57 and do not a appreciate the cheater comments. I believed thru a you tube comment that it was ok to reroll - I took it to literally.
I used the built in Pay/Point or whatever it's called to straighten out stats. And I do wish to thanks everyone for their help.
Oh, and yes I have a mic in headset.
If you were thinking of doing a voice chat as DM to Player sometime or day I would love it. Sending texts back and forth doesn't really get what I intended for this character to become and why I chose him and letting a DM know what started this mess to begin with.
Please let me know if you can or really if any DM or two can.
Please think about it ... it shouldn't be that long of a time to straighten me out. I'm not really sure what Homebrew is for or for whom(DM"S or characters by themselves.
It was probably someone being rude telling you to stay out of discord. Just remember server's have their own rules and some groups are really strict on "social norms" But for "one on one" or "group meetups" it's great.
There are a couple of potential problems or risks maybe there was worry with that but if you only connect with trusted groups it should be fine.
I would be willing to show you some of the ropes. Private message will be sent.

And also it asks me to first prove that I am a human even though I already checked the box that I am.
Xethron#8685 or Xethron#8586, was all I got out of it. I think I am using an outside approach rather than direct for DND Beyond.
