I think main characters in Saving Private Ryan (except the medic Upham) are great rangers as obviously most of them are from the ranger squad.
Other rangers I can think of are archers in Final Fantasy XIV, since they value the nature around them. They are also fast travelers, and amazing hunters as shown in the class quest and skills.
