Can you give yourself Expertise in a skill that you already have Proficiency in when you use Knowledge of the Ages?
Personally, I’d rule no. It says you can give yourself proficiency, not expertise. But I can see an argument to allow it. I’d say check with you DM.
Unfortunately the spell doesn't say that you can, so you can't.
