I don't know if this is the right forum for this .... I'm playing a Necrophants (a priest of Velsharoon) cleric: Death domain 3.lv / wizard: necromancer 12. lv.
I've become associated with an orphanage and I would like to produce appropriate reading material for the children (You got to begin the indoctrination when they're young). So I was hoping the community could help me come up with some good names and short descriptions for these books and should there be any other alternative.
Thank you everyone for contributing so far, these are the current books.

The older kids might like the Kara-Tur classic, "Full Skeletal Alchemist" .

Also, you can reinterpret Sleeping Beauty where the witch's "curse" that puts the princess to sleep is actually a good thing because it saves her from a deadly genetic illness. Since this is for lore purposes only, reflavor the "Sleep" option of Imprisonment to be a Necromancy spell instead of an Abjuration spell.
Which version of sleeping beauty, Brothers Grimm or Disney?
I don't know sleeping beauty is a good example of the failures of the living, a cursed be which is forced to live and is not allowed to embrace undeath or death. This perverted state of permanent life it is a mockery to the true power that which lies in the twilight zone between life and death. This state of permanent life mocks the efforts of those who seeking and explore and extend the mortal condition and form-even mortal life itself-knowledge of the world, in all of its infinite complexity, is extended.
And there's the old slogan … Many Hands Make Light Work to show how animating dead appendages is a good thing.
HA! Re-animated appendages! A good "THING"!
BOOM!
Unintentional Addam's Family pun!!!

i am soup, with too many ideas (all of them very spicy) who has made sufficient homebrew material and character to last an thousand human lifetimes
So far I have been able able to acquire many of these amazing tomes/books and distribute them to the orphans in my orphanage (that's totally not a centre of indoctrination and recruitment). It's been amusing watching my other party members a counter these young children with these necromancy books every so often (important note: no one in the party, in character knows that my character is a necromancer).
Answering in character: My God is the glorious Velsharoon, is unlike other more pathetic necromancers which proclaim the divinity (cough cough vecna ) he achieved his power through the divine. In a very old ruin in the Plains of Purple Dust, southwest of the city of Zindalankh on the Sempharwater, Velsharoon discovered a process laid down long ago by Talos the Destroyer by which a great wizard can achieve demipowerhood. The Vaunted, as the archnecromancer was sometimes pilloried, managed to complete the ritual, which first turned him into a lich, and ascended into the ranks of Faerûn's pantheon with the Destroyer's sponsorship at the end. Consulting with demons for power is not really recommended within the Velsharoon belief, they may be useful tools but they should never be trusted.
