Started a game and got to play an Arcana Cleric for the first time. The rules were level 9 and we could choose 1 rare and 2 uncommon items
To avoid the need for shillelagh I opted for gauntlets of ogre strength and a magic weapon.
Went variant human taking war caster, used one ASI for Wisdom and another for Resilient (CON)
The damage output seemed high. Each turn I averaged roughly 40-50 damage in a fight a a handful of enemies by way of: green flame blade, spiritual weapon, and a level 4 spirit guardians
This felt strong for a single class straight forward build. I understand that it helped having the right items for the job, without the gauntlets I would have been weaker trading magic initiate for the +2 wisdom and my AC would have been 18 instead of 20 due to swapping stats but still very effective.
I don’t think it’s OP but surprisingly effective for a cleric and I enjoyed it greatly.

You should see the ridiculousness of a lvl 20 cleric able to solo a dungeon and BBEG after his party gets TPK’d.
clerics are BA when they try.
