DnD 5.5 Divine Intervention & Glyph of Warding

Hi,

I would like to know if it would be possible to use Divine Intervention to upcast Glyph of Warding to store Spirit Guardians as a 5th level spell. After having triggered the glyph, does the cleric need to concentrate on Spirit Guardians? My interpretation is that the cleric does not need to concentrate on it.

I think using Spirit Guardians with Glyph of Warding technically works as written, but be aware that some DMs might reject it as it seems to be well outside the spirit of what Glyph of Warding is for, especially if the intent is just to use it to dodge the Concentration requirement on another spell.

Note that glyphs are immobile, so no use in adventuring (unless you go the demiplane route) so fine to rig up defenses for your haven/bastion.

My high level wizard is looking at glyphs of Fly, Invisibility, Dimension Door, Non Detection for his daughters in case they need to flee the Bastion. Dim door straight up 500 feet, go invisible, fly and be unscryable to escape. A bit of gold to set up, and good reasonable paranoid wizarding.

Thank you for your input…fully agree that this is something to check with your DM… can you store Bless on a Glyph of Warding?

I believe so as the person who triggers the glyph is the target. I am not sure you can target 3 creatures unless the trigger is the 3 closest creatures when you say "I am Groot!" and then - why not.
