I just made my first D&D character who is a chicory cleric who's on a mission to summon a demon or devil. But now that I'm looking at his spell list he doesn't have the summon demon so is there another way for him to do so.
Just ask your DM to give it to you, this is Dnd so with a good story and a reason that makes sense you can summon a demon/devil even if you don't have the spell.

Born under the watch of something from the furthest corners of the far realms.... It knows all.... it sees all... and it asks: "What is it that you want to see?"... and my answer is... ALL"
Gate, a ninth level spell, will do it, if you know the creature's name. Of course, you don't control it, so it might be mad at you if you try. RAW, that's he only way I can think for a straight cleric to pull off summoning a demon.
There's a UA spell, Summon celestial spirit. If your DM allows it, they might also be willing to allow it to summon a fiend instead of a celestial.
There's also two wizard spells a third and a fourth level spell, which allow summoning of demons. So if the demon summoning is really what you're about, you might want to re-roll as a wizard instead of a cleric, since its much easier that way. Or multi-class into Wizard.
