Hello to whom ever is reading this. I just want to write openly about DND beyond. I got started early early, in the soft launch stages. Scence then, I have went to my trusty paper books and kinda forgot about DND beyond. Just a week ago I (re)disocevered DND beyond. I love the character managment. It is amazing to me you can print off PDFs. SO cool. In my exitment, I bought the PHB. (Even though I own 2 physical copies). I am finding rules I never did because of the ease of access. DND beyond is an amazing time for DND. Thank you. I am literally checking the app store every day for the DND beyond app.
I'm going to assume that you would like alpha access to said app and that you did not preorder Xanathar's Guide to Everything on here. If those assumptions are correct, then, if you happen to have a few hundred dollars sitting around, buy the Legendary Bundle.
The D&D Beyond app will should, sometime this month, become available for alpha-testing to people who preordered XGtE on Beyond or own the Legendary Bundle.

Yes, that few 100 dollar thing. That is a negitive my friend. Unfortunitatly, I am going to have to wait until the app goes public, or if some kind soul has an extra download code.
Hey you seem very knowledgable. I am thinking about DMing a game using DND beyond. I am very curious what that feature looks like on DND beyond. Do you know of a video or a stream I can check out? What do players see? What does the DM see? Are there notes? Is there a place to show a map? IT is like i am re disovering this fabious game.

You can go to "My Content" ----> "Campaigns" and create your campaign page. The campaign page is provided with a link, which your players should use to upload/create their character. On the Campaign page, there are 3 textboxes, two viewable for DM and players, one viewable only for the DM. On the public notes, you can upload artwork and maps.

Yeah, that's pretty much it at the moment. It should be a lot better by this time next year, though.

How do you go about uploading artwork and maps?
So the image must be on the internet? I'm trying to get a homebrewed map to my players.
Thanks for the prompt response!
