A bond for the Haunted One background states "I have a child to protect. I must make the world a safer place for him (or her)". It could just as easily say "I have a child to protect. I must make the world a safer place for them" which would make it more concise and inclusive of those that go by pronouns other than he/him and she/her.

That text matches what is presented in the physical text, and so it is presented here. If WotC issues an errata to change the text, then it will be reflected.

Trying to get your physical content on Beyond is like going to Microsoft and saying "I have a physical Playstation disk, give me a digital Xbox version!"
We both know WotC won't be doing that, and so this inherently homophobic text will remain. It's simply not good enough.
Homophobic? There is nothing homophobic here. Regardless... you still have to take it up with WotC because Beyond is *contractually obligated* to maintain the text here with the text in the physical books. It is a WotC problem, not a Beyond problem.

Okay, thank you for pointing me in the right direction, I appreciate it.
Also, homophobic in the sense that they address the male side of things before quickly covering themselves by addressing the women side of the things in parentheses. And, again, they fail to include folks who do not address themselves as male or female.

that... isn't homophobia. Nothing in there is against gay people. I'm pretty sure the one you're looking for is transphobia, since I... am fairly confident in saying discrimination against enbies falls into that umbrella. (........note to self, ask enby friends if this is correct later)

Oh, I'm sorry, English isn't my first language. I sometimes get mixed up. Thank you for the clarification :)
You're good. Apologies if my tone came across as rude: text is hard to tone in.
