To be clear, what l am asking, is (if its possable) for a way to switch, say, a arcane trickster rogue, to use charisma rather then intelligence for their spellcasting ability in the character sheet. This way, if the dm allows the change, it can be reflected in the sheet. Now, l doubt this will actualy be made, or if it even CAN be done. but l figured i'd post this anyway.
(oh, and this would be togglable per character, rather then a blanket change to all AT Rogues, or whatever)
EDIT: As the below comment pointed out, you can just make a homebrew copy, and just give it a different spell type.
I think the best way to do this will be to create a homebrew subclass using the Arcane Trickster as a template. This should be doable by:
Homebrew -> Subclasses -> Create Homebrew Subclass -> Select Rogue in top drop-down box -> Select Arcane Trickster in bottom drop-down box -> Create (not create from scratch)
Then on the first page you can select CHA as the spellcasting modifier instead of INT. Since this makes a carbon copy of the original Subclass you could theoretically do this for any of them.
I'm trying to do the same thing for Eldrich Knight, but once ive changed the spellcasting ability to Wis, i cant pick any spells. It says i can choose 2 cantrips and 4 1st level spells but it doesnt populate the list with any options.

(Face palm) I forgot you could do that. (l'd delete this thread, but it might be useful to others, so l wont)
