I was looking at the magic item section and the first thing that jumped out to me was that when I clicked on the "magic item rules" button next to the "home brew" button it takes you to a new page. I would think it would be nice for that page to come up as a modal window that provide the reference info with the option in the modal window to jump to the entire page if needed rather than the complete jump and then use of back button. If you go a couple links deep in the magic item page its a pain to get back to the items.
Of course, as it is it is completely functional. One could open it in a new tab to ensure the items stay close at hand, but in terms of user experience I think a modal window solution would be better.

Why not just open it another tab? Modal windows block content below it... maybe you meant a sidebar that expands out?
