Really wanted to try my hand at making a Nimblewright race for a friend's new character (whether as it's own race or as a variant for Warforged). Went to create the race and it gives you a list of races you can choose from to start with and edit from there. Why isn't Warforged on that list? I own Eberron so surely not that. Is this a known issue that everyone has or is it just me?
Hi FrozenFinder! There are a few things we can troubleshoot here first. :)
First — Might be a silly question, but are you attempting to select Warforged from the correct drop-down in the Create Homebrew Race page? It's actually a fairly common stumbling point. You can choose Create Race and find Warforged under the 'Use an existing Race as a template' drop-down, where you would have the opportunity to use the warforged as a template for a brand new race. You can also choose Create Variant to create a Variant Warforged, and would select Warforged from the 'Select a race to create a new Variant for' drop-down; note that as no official Warforged variants exist, you would not find it under this 'Select an existing Variant as a template' selection. Since the published Warforged does not support subraces, you will NOT find Warforged under the Create Subrace 'Select a race to create a new Subrace for' drop-down.
Second — Check that everything is in sync on your end. Go to your Account Marketplace page, and right near the top you should see a section called Account Entitlements: This will either tell you that your entitlements data is in sync, or else will have a button to sync them. Also while on this page, ensure that you have the appropriate Eberron book under Current Product Licenses. It's possible that either this content has been shared rather than purchased (a fairly common mistake), or else that it was purchased on a different account (also more common than you'd think, users accidentally creating a second account).
And lastly — Do you have any extensions that might be interfering? Beyond20, AboveVTT, ad-blockers, VPNs, etc... I again can't say whether this would affect whether certain races appear in the template race lists, but D&D Beyond does not officially support any third-party browser extensions, and they may have unintended consequences on normal website functionality. You might try using the homebrew tools in a different browser, or else in an Incognito browsing session.
Just checked, seems the issue is I don't actually own Eberron or Wayfinders. I thought I did because I could access it but it seems I'm just getting it because I activated sharing on a campaign.
Sorry for the late reply, thank you for the suggestions as to why and how to check them, sorry for a waste of time post. XD

Third — I'm not certain whether this should affect anything or not, but do you own Eberron: Rising from the Last War, or only Wayfinder's Guide to Eberron? If just the latter, that may give us something more to go on.

No worries! Like I said, a fairly common occurrence. ;)
