Wizard is an obvious one, as the +int and armor prof come in handy.
Another class that would be useful is the Rogue. +1 int helps with investigation for traps. And the saving face gives you an "oh Crap" backup when you fail to disarm a trap. Additionally the martial weapon training grants you access to the longbow, or heavy crossbow which can be nice.
It seems like they would make good rangers because of the save face(especially Gloomstalker). also roleplaying wise they would make monks because they are usually lawful but revel in combat, and as monk is the perfection of their body, it would be a good choice

just looking over the Hobgoblin and can't decide what is a good class for them besides Wizards.
