ok. My original post is below with an edit, but I have discovered the answer to my own questions, except one (the currency issue, ie; steel and bronze coins). Rather than delete this thread, I will leave it to help others who might have similar questions:
Kender Race, all monsters and all magical items in book are where they should be.
Knight of Solamnia is not its own class. Choose any martial class. They specify Fighter, Paladin and War domain Cleric. Rangers, Monks and Barbarians aren’t mentioned, so I guess that would be a DM discretion thing. To make it a K of Sol, choose the Background for it.
Lunar Sorcerer: create sorcerer, take appropriate subclass and Background (as with the Knight of S)
thanks for your patience

I was excited to get my pre-release/pre-order today. I was just as quickly disappointed to see that I am unable to create the new classes, although Kender did indeed appear in the races listing. Furthermore, there are nuances that seem to be unusable. I haven’t looked to see if the gods are listed for clerics to follow, but I did notice that Krynn’s unusual currency does not appear for use on character sheets. (Edit: the monsters and magic items do appear in beyond for use, but the other things I mentioned still can’t be found)
Are these features which will show up at a later date? Is the reasoning because this is merely early access, but not ready to be integrated yet? I find it odd to have the Dragonlance package so heavily promoted through Beyond, and yet the features are not useable in Beyond.
I am hoping someone can provide some meaningful answers, even if just to point out that I am not doing it right.
thank you in advance to anyone who provides guidance on this.
When you say pre-order, did you order just the digital version through the D&D Beyond marketplace, or the physical + digital bundle through the D&D store? The former releases on December 6th, while the latter releases today

I ordered the bundle. I know not to expect the hard cover book yet. I have begun to read the digital content. The point of my thread is that this content is not fully integrated. The digital portion of the bundle , regardless of how purchased, is available today.
I ordered the digital only version in the DND beyond marketplace. I had assumed I would also get early access. Like I said before, shipping to Canada was nasty so the physical-digital bundle did not make sense. Plan on getting the physical book when it is released in our stores. Would be nice if you let those of us who pre-ordered the digital to also get early access.

This may be a propagation issue....i see Kender in my Races list, so it's there and ready to use. Sometimes it takes time to push it out to everyone.
same i get the table of contents for the book then get thrown to the marketplace where it clearly states "you already own this" if i click on anything in the TOC

The S&H charge for the physical book was almost criminal (being spoiled by free shipping from most on-line vendors). I only did it because I couldn’t be sure the books would be around. They scared me with the “while supplies last” warning. My only local gaming shop in this small rural town was forced to close during the pandemic. So all of my gaming is now mail-ordered or digital.
Yep, me too the sad part is that in the same marketplace says that physical and digital order get the early access but as i see now is only for who ordered the physical book or deluxe bundle.
Why they don't put this more clearly on the market?
there is no point to pre-order if we have to wait until December 6 for the access.

Yeah, I did the digital pre-order with the understanding that I would be getting my content early. Obviously I was mistaken. I do feel that they could have been clearer in how the early access stuff worked. Though if I had known that it was expected for me to pay for the physical copy early too I wouldn't have done the pre-order at all (I generally prefer to get my books at my FLGS). I'll be sure to remember this going forward though, as this feels underhanded. I definitely will not be pre-ordering official D&D content again. Fool me once, and all that.
I do see where my own mistake happened in assuming I would get it early. The backgrounds and dice I got for getting the pre-order of the digital is nice and all, but I would have liked early access. Even if it was one week. My guess is they really wanted to push the bundle and not just the digital. Lesson learned for them and us. If someone is watching though, could we strike a compromise and let us digital only pre-orders get access one week early? ;) Either way I am excited to get it and I love the digital editions.
I ordered the digital + physical bundle, but all I can see on the book here is the table of contents, and, while there is a toggle in character creation to show Dragonlance content, when, selected, there is still nothing available in the character builder.
